Last Updated: September 2, 2026

Welcome to Solor. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we look after your personal data when you use our service — a platform for finding and booking local photographers in the Greater Lisbon area (including Cascais and nearby areas) — and tells you about your privacy rights.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

We collect information that you provide directly to us, including:

  • Account Information: Name, email address, password, and profile information
  • Profile Data: Profile pictures, bio, portfolio images, package descriptions (for photographers), and preferences

  • Communications: Messages exchanged through our chat system, reviews, and ratings
  • Support Data: Information you provide when contacting customer support

Note: We do not collect or process payment information. All payments are handled directly between customers and photographers outside of the Solor platform.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use our service, we automatically collect:

  • Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers
  • Usage Data: App features used, pages viewed, time spent, and interaction patterns
  • Location Data: Precise location when you grant permission (for example, to help find nearby photographers)
  • Log Data: IP address, browser type, access times, and referring URLs

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our photographer discovery and booking services
  • Facilitate booking requests and manage your booking history
  • Send you service-related notifications, confirmations, and updates
  • Facilitate communication between customers and photographers
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, and ensure platform security
  • Comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes
  • Analyze usage patterns to improve our platform

Note: We do not process payments or handle financial transactions. Payment arrangements are made directly between users. This Privacy Policy does not create any obligation for Solor to provide monetary compensation for accidents, damages, or disputes between users.

3. Information Sharing and Disclosure

3.1 With Photographers

When you submit a request or book a photoshoot, we share necessary information with the photographer, including your name, contact information, and request or booking details.

3.2 With Service Partners

We may share information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf:

  • Cloud hosting providers

3.3 For Legal Reasons

When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information, except where we need to retain it for legal or legitimate business purposes.

10. Contact Us

If you have questions or concerns about this privacy policy or our data practices, please contact us:

11. Cookies

We use a cookie-consent banner on solor.co. If you accept, we load the Meta Pixel to measure advertising performance, and Microsoft Clarity to understand how people use the site (heatmaps and anonymized session recordings). Meta Pixel events include browsing and searching photographers, viewing a profile, starting and sending a session request, creating an account, confirming a booking, visiting Join as photographer, and submitting a photographer application. Clarity records mouse movement, clicks, and scrolling; form fields and chat messages are masked. If you decline, neither tool is loaded. You can change this later via Cookie settings in the footer.

12. GDPR Rights (European Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have additional rights under GDPR:

  • Right to object to processing of your personal data
  • Right to restrict processing of your personal data
  • Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
  • Right to withdraw consent at any time

13. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have specific rights regarding your personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete, and the right to opt-out of the sale of personal information (note: we do not sell personal information).
